Things will never be the same again

I always believed that a wounded heart will never mend.
As time passes, the wound closes up, but the scar will always be there, which only you yourself will be able to see and feel it. But what happens when the wound havn't get healed, and it is cut again and again, as if it is not deep enough.
What happens if the heart suffers damage from within the wound?
It is known as internal injury.

It hurts so much when both the surface and the inside are slashed over and over, like you enjoyed the feeling.
